We're standardizing the Home tab across platforms, making a more consistent experience between Android and Web. German users will now see local German content from trusted sources on the Home Tab.
We addressed a number of issues in this version, which includes resolving a Listen-related crash and fixing other bugs.

- Updated navigation: Settings have moved to the bottom. Re-added bottom navigation to tablets.
- Activity and Profile are no longer part of the app. You can see your recommendations by visiting your profile on getpocket.com. Profiles are now private.
- Fixed Listen bug where time estimates showed 0 mins

Next and previous article buttons — while reading, you can now open the next or previous item in your list and seamlessly open another great read.
Viewed and not viewed status — see at a glance which items you’ve opened. Items in bold text are not viewed, and items with regular font have been viewed. You can change an items’ status in the actions menu in My List, in Bulk Edit or in the overflow menu when the item is open.

Picture this: you sit down for some #longreads and have to scroll through all of your saves to get to them. Could there be a better way?
You can now search by estimated reading time!
Tap search, then tap the reading time you need: a quick read, a long read, or something in between. You can search within each reading time option. For example, select “Medium (6-10 min)” then search like you normally would.

You spoke, we listened—we’re adding new ways to sort your List! You can now sort your saves by shortest and longest time to read. Whether you have just a few minutes to spare or finally have time for that #longread, use the new sorting options to find the stories that suit you best.
We’ve also moved the search bar to the top of your List, so it’s easier to access as you use the app.

Introducing two new ways to dive deeper into topics that interest you.
When reaching the end of an article, Pocket will recommend similar stories so you can continue down your path of learning and discovery. And speaking of discovery, you can also view similar stories for any recommended article in Discover by tapping the new star icon.

Translate in Pocket
If you have Google Translate installed, you can now translate any word or phrase in your saved articles. Just head to an article, select any text, and tap “Translate.”
Dark theme made easy
If you have Android 10, Pocket’s theme will automatically change to follow your device’s theme, whether that’s light or dark—and this includes Pocket’s welcome screen. Set this up by visiting the settings menu within Pocket.

This version adds Multi-Window support to Pocket on Android 7.0 and above. With split-screen mode, you can multi-task like a pro and use Pocket along with other apps on the same screen, at the same time.

We improved the Highlights filter! Now, your highlights will be grouped and displayed in the order that they appear within their articles, making it easier for you to read and revisit them later on.
Haven't highlighted yet? Highlighting helps you focus on reading, and makes it easier remember the interesting things you've learned about in Pocket. To get started, select some text in Article View and then tap Highlight.
By popular demand, Pocket now shows time estimates for your saved articles and videos! When viewing your list, you'll see an estimate for how long it'll take you to read or watch them, right below the title.
